A native Mac browser with spacesYour spaces.
Fast.

Blawsa keeps work, home and side projects in their own spaces, each with its colour, pinned tabs and, if you like, its own logins. It's built natively for the Mac on Chromium, so every site and Chrome extension works. Coming from Arc? Your spaces, pinned tabs, history and passwords come over in a minute.

Version 0.1.0 · Free · macOS 15 or later · Apple Silicon & Intel

Blawsa's window: a sidebar with favorites, pinned tabs, folders and today's tabs on the left, the page on the right.

The real app. Favorites on top, pinned tabs and folders, today's tabs below, your spaces at the foot of the sidebar.

Features

Everything where you left it.

Spaces

⌃1–9

A space for each part of your life, each with an emoji, a colour that can fade into a second one, and its own pinned tabs and folders. Swipe sideways on the sidebar to move between them. Give a space its own logins and it gets its own cookies, sign-ins and extension data, so work and home never mix.

Pinned tabs that remember

⌘D

A pinned tab keeps the page you pinned. Wander off and it shows where you are; one click takes you home. ⌘W puts it to sleep instead of losing it.

Peek

Links that would open a new tab open as a card over the page. Read it, then close it or keep it as a tab.

Command bar

⌘T

Addresses, searches, open tabs in every space, your history and commands, all in one box, with results as you type even across thousands of pages.

A tidy sidebar

Today's tabs sit below the pinned ones and go to the Archive after 12 hours unseen, or when you say. Anything archived comes back in a click.

Chrome extensions

Add any extension from the Chrome Web Store. Ad blockers, password managers and userscripts work, and pinned ones sit above your favorites. Developers can load unpacked extensions that reload as you save.

Passwords

⌥⌘P

One set for every space, encrypted on your Mac with a key in your Keychain. Showing or copying one asks for Touch ID. Blawsa fills only the exact site a login was saved for.

Private windows

⇧⌘N

Nothing you visit is kept: no history, no saved tabs, and cookies that live in memory and vanish when you close the window.

Light on your Mac

Tabs you haven't looked at in a while go to sleep, and come back showing the page as you left it while it reloads. The cache has a sensible size, so Blawsa doesn't fill your disk.

Coming from Arc or Chrome

Bring it all with you.

Open Blawsa for the first time and choose Bring my Arc over. Your spaces arrive with their emoji and colours, along with pinned tabs, folders, favorites, today's tabs, history and, if you tick them, your saved passwords. Your Arc extensions come over with their settings from the Extensions page. From Chrome, Blawsa brings your history and passwords from every profile. Import from both, in any order, as often as you like: nothing is doubled, and a login saved in both keeps whichever password is newer. macOS asks before Blawsa can read another browser's passwords, and they go straight into Blawsa's encrypted vault.

Install

Up and running in a minute.

  1. 1

    Download

Get Blawsa.dmg. One download runs on Apple Silicon and Intel Macs with macOS 15 or later.

  2. 2

    Drag to Applications

Open the download and drag Blawsa onto the Applications folder next to it.

  3. 3

    Open it the first time

This early build isn't notarized by Apple yet, so macOS asks before the first launch. Open Blawsa, then go to System Settings → Privacy & Security and click Open Anyway. You only do this once.

FAQ

Questions.

Is Blawsa free?

Yes. Blawsa is free to download and use, with no account.

Will my sites work?

Yes. Pages are drawn by Chromium, the engine inside Chrome, so sites behave as they do in Chrome, Chrome extensions install from the Chrome Web Store, and Developer Tools are a right-click away.

Does Blawsa have AI features?

No. Blawsa is a browser: fast, quiet and out of your way.

Where does my data go?

It stays on your Mac. Your tabs, history and passwords are kept on this Mac only; passwords are encrypted with a key held in your Keychain and never leave it. Blawsa has no account and sends nothing about your browsing anywhere.

Which Macs does it run on?

Any Mac with macOS 15 Sequoia or later, Apple Silicon or Intel. One download covers both.

Why does macOS warn me the first time?

This early build isn't notarized by Apple yet. Allow it once in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open Anyway. Notarized builds are on the way.

How do I update?

Blawsa updates itself. When a new version is out, a card in the sidebar says so: click Install, and Blawsa downloads it, checks it was signed by Biibisoft, and reopens on the new version with your spaces and tabs. You can also look any time from Blawsa → Check for Updates…
